I get this if I sit for long periods of time, but I have lost a lot of weight and my bones are quite prominent in some areas, my coccyx being one of them I am sure it's nothing to worry about. Just mention it to your GP next time you go if it is concerning you though.

When I was working at a desk all day this was one of my biggest problems. Ask your doc for some stretches you can do. I made sure I got up every half hour and stretched out and that seemed to help a little bit.

    Hiya

I think I posted on a previous post about your coccyx pain.. Anyway, I've seen loads of doctors and 2 osteopaths. No one was really sure what was going on, the pain went for a while then came back just as bad as before. Last week I decided to try a chiropractor and he was absolutely amazing. Did a range of tests and pinpointed exactly where the problem areas were. Coccyx feels so much better after just one treatment but will be going back for more treatments over the next few weeks to make sure it is sorted properly. My pain starts on the left side of my coccyx and goes up my sacrum to my left sacroiliac joint (where my back dimple is). He said that one problem area is the ligaments that come off the coccyx on the right side (opposite to the pain). He said they are really tight. The other area is one of the lower vertebrates of my spine.

Anyway hope this helps! See a chiropractor!
