    Anxiety/panic ritual

Almost any time I feel panicky I wash my face or splash water on my face for a few minutes
If I wash my face I feel like it'll keep me alive and won't cause panic attacks

I've done this so much every day for the past few months my face is dry and cracking and when I cry it burns my skin like acid

    Re: Anxiety/panic ritual

I used to wash my hand repeatedly when I worked and I felt a panic attack coming on.
I eventually had to start brining in my own hand wash that was softer on my skin because the ones at work , after so much use, were causing dry painful flaky skin.
I ended up replacing the habit with getting a cup of water and drinking it slowly. I convinced myself that ingesting water slowly would be better at preventing panic attacks.
So I guess maybe finding an alternative and in the meantime using lotions that are going to be kind to your skin ?
