Hi does anybody know if you can change from 1 tricyclic antidepressant to another tricyclic without a break was taking 75g of dosulupin a day and dr has changed me to 50mg of amitriptyline to start taking tonight instead hes says its ok but im a bit worried about it

I think it's ok. I was on amitriptyline for a short while but it didn't do much good (made me feel like a bit of a zombie), and the doc switched me to Seroxat without any break in between. I think it's ok to move from one tricyclic to another.

Does any one have any idea how long amitriptyline takes to leav your system 150 mg nightly over a year any info would be great I hate amitriptyline I want it out my system x
