Reduced Dose from 40mg to 20mg

Hi, my doctor has reduced my dose from 40mg to 20mg a day. As he now thinks it is making my anxiety worse. It has been a week and I am starting to feel very strange. Could this be the side effects of cutting my dose. I feel dizzy sometimes, cant sleep and have twitching.

He cut my dose as he thinks I have got a lot better and now the 40mg was causing its own side effects of increased anxiety.

Probably is because you have cut the dose, I twitch a lot sometimes n have weird spells where it looks like things are moving. I'm on 20mg. Look up side effects of withdrawal n see what that says x x

I've had the same problems cutting down from 40mg to 20mg. Has 40mg been working for you? If so make sure the doc knows this. Lower doses leave me feeling so jittery and strung out it aint worth it. You need several weeks at a dose to see any real difference, especially when reducing doses since the drug stays active in your system for a long time ... How many days/weeks/months/years has it been? (I've been on this stuff for over a decade)

Hi, yes it was working for ages but recently I started to get anxious and felt nervous. Doctor suggested it could be the amount I am on, so decided to try and half it. I had been on 40mg for over 3 years and 20mg two years before that. I am on my second week of 20mg and it is very strange. I can hear my heart beat and it freaks me out.
