Thread: I'm 4 weeks in and feeling very erratic.

I'm 4 weeks in and feeling very erratic.

I've been on citalopram for 4 weeks now. 3 and a bit at 10mg and 20mg since Tuesday. I still have a few side effects, a bit nauseous and a lack of appetite etc. The most difficult bit is how up and down I am though. I wake up in the mornings full of dread and fear and anxiety and it seems to last until about lunchtime or later. Sometimes however I feel pretty good in the afternoons and evenings. The change in dose has been tricky.

Is it pretty normal to feel much worse initially with moments of improvement? I can stick it out if it'll get better soon enough, but these mornings are tough!

you're going through exactly what I am. I've been at 20mg for almost 6 weeks and the weekends are still bad. stick at it, if you've only been on 20mg since tuesday, it's like starting again. so give it a week at a time and it should work
