Toothache and knee pain?

On my fourth day of 20mg citalopram and my top teeth ache so much it hurts to bite down. Is this the tablets? My knees also hurt when I walk or bend down. Anyone had this?

Not heard of those symptoms before, but I guess it could be muscle tension by clenching your jaw/locking your knees?

Yes I have. I started on 20mg Citalopram 4yrs ago & had the same side effects, also felt like I had the flu. These few days will be the hardest part & are perfectly normal.

I was advised to drink plenty of water which helped a lot & just rest & let it pass.

Yeah me too, my glands are up too. My right arm also feels like it is shaky and weak even though it isn't shaking when I touch it or look at it.

One of the side effects you can have with citalopram, is jaw clenching....when I first started taking Citalopram I used to do it in my sleep and wake up with my mouth/teeth hurting, it took quite a while during the day for the pain to subside.

I'm also on Day 4 and going through hell at the moment (not sure if you've seen my diary on here?) I haven't had the particular side effects you've mentioned, but I hope you'll be feeling better soon.

One more for the sore teeth here! My girlfriend said for the first 5 days or so I was grinding and clenching my teeth while I slept, and they were really sensitive for the first week, it totally passed after that, and haven't had any problems since. Hang in there.
