EXTREME - Fear of Flying And Xanax

I am extremely afraid to fly and I am going on a plane on Sat. My doctor gave me some Xanax and I tried one yesterday and it didn't seem to relax me. Has anyone had any experience with Xanax - how many does it usually take to totally relax you??

Hi,

This too is a debilitating fear of mine. I have never flown w/xanax although I have taken them before. Perhaps you could ask your doctor for some Valium those might work better for you.

I had to take 3 during a flight before and it still didn't relax me but my fear of flying is really awful!
