I went to see my normal GP this afternoon and told her how I was getting on (which is not great) so after 6 weeks with very little positive and quite a lot of negative we've decided to give the Sertraline a go. Fingers crossed for the next few weeks.......

Don't be too disheartened- a substantial portion of people don't have the results they want from one particular SSRI and need to try others... or different methods.

Hey Jon Dimond, sorry to here your having a bad time.
I was on Citalopram for about 2 months with no improvements if anything I was worse than when I started, I switched over to Sertraline and started to feel better after a few weeks so hopefully you will do that same.

It is a bit of a lottery getting the right meds, then the right dosage. I started off on Fluoxetine which did nothing, am now on 40mg of citalopram and struggling, just trying to get the dose right now....

I feel pretty ok today so far. I started on the Sertraline which won't be having any affect yet. I think it's mainly due to some reassuring news about my cyst from the docs yesterday, so my general stress levels are a bit lower. I really hope that I've passed rock bottom now.
