ASMR anyone heard of.. can help anxiety

Hey there.. I suffer from lots of things including anxiety and panic and trouble sleeping.
I find it hard to calm down and unwind from my thoughts etc..
i have gotten into this cool thing called ASMR which is people who make videos of sounds of things ..and talking softly ... sounds bit crazy.. which i thought it was at first.. but i find it REALLY helps with sleep and just helps relax and help with my anxiety. esp at nite.
there are lots of vids on u tube just type in - ASMR
the sound of rain.. tapping.. tin foil.. pages being turned in books... honestly.. give it a go it can help.

I'm glad other people love the rain as much as me

Everybody calls me a 'Vampire' as I am practically nocturnal and much prefer rain to sunshine.

It's extremely relaxing listening to it tapping on windows, shed's and are cars at night

I find it also helps through the day, sort of gives me a barrier between my self and the general public.

Have been watching ASMR videos for a while now and they can definitely help you to relax if your not overly anxious to begin with otherwise they may seem a bit strange, I couldnt watch them if i was panicing or really anxious as the world seems unreal to mean anyway when like that so watching the vids would seem very weird lol. But any other time when your a little stressed or restless or cant sleep then they are very good to watch.

Most people I tell to watch them try it for 5 minutes and just dont get it but you need to give it a try for a little longer and get absorbed into the video and then you will start to relax and the the ASMR tingles (google that).

I agree.. some people think it is odd.. my mum included haha!
but yeah once you get zoned in it cant help you relax.
I love the sound of rain it is FAB and RELAXING
