Hello all
I am new here - a 44 yo male sufferer of anxiety.
I'm currently diagnosed with GAD, although until recently I did not suffer with daily anxiety, but more periodic episodes which could last weeks or months.
However last year I gave up smoking - which I believe altered the way my body dealt with my medication (at the time Cipralex (aka escitalopram)) which had been working ok.
Subsequent visits to my shrink saw me change my medication level - which was disastrous - leading to a year long anxiety episode - which I am still struggling to get over.
But now I have been put on Pregabalin and have elected to drop the Cipralex altogether. The result of this is the usual dizziness and anxiety - which is nice!

Ultimately I would like to be drug (and anxiety) free - but for now - drug free is the aim
