    Gel after BM

    Hi all !

    I'm new to this forum.

    I have a weird question.

I don't have IBS (already saw a GI). I used to have BM problems ... well once every 2 weeks ... slight D (I would say loose over D). I tought it was IBS after reading forums and Dr Google.

Then I became anxious about IBS. I did all the tests (upper and lower endoscopy, biopsy, blood test, gluten. All good. Then food intolerance came back positive (egg white, a bit of wheat). What a relieve.

Almost a month passed and no symptoms. So it confirms the result.

But ... I often get that weird gel when I wipe. Not on the stool ! Its all clean and perfect ! I get that OCD of being very empty before going out so I always go 1-2 times after and strain a bit to see and this is when that thing comes out ... not a lot ... maybe an inch on the paper.

Anyway ... I'm still concerned about it and my IBS fear is coming back even if I don't have the other symptoms.

Is it some sort of natural lube that comes out as a residue when straining ? I know the colon always produces that kind of gel ... maybe I'm just focusing too much ...

    Thanks !
