Metronidazole on Sertraline

Hey,

I have a wisdom tooth infection and have been prescribed Metronidazole.

I have read online that this can cause serotonin syndrome?! And I know you are NOT allowed to drink alcohol on it.

Sertraline also contains alcohol.

I asked the pharmacist and the doctor about this and they say it's fine, however I am still worried of having a bad reaction.

Has anybody else had this combination?

How did you get on? I have also been given this combination.

Also, did you also get a sore head,bumps along the outside of your tongue and a burning feeling?
