    Anxiety about getting someone pregnant

A friend of mine suffers from anxiety just as I do. We were discussing what really makes us tick. He proceeded to tell me that he has a fear of getting one of his relatives pregnant whenever he masturbates. He says he's afraid that semen may get somewhere where his mother/sister may come into contact.

I come here to ask: is this even possible? I make up scenarios all the time that make me really question what i'm doing, and this one seems to be something I would think. He says he even worries when he goes into the pool because he feels as if loose semen may find there way to a host.

I am concerned that he constantly is worrying for no reason

Re: Anxiety about getting someone pregnant

Hi I'm not a professor but I hold a BSc in biomedical science - route human biology. I've specifically studied human reproduction and I can assure you that the sperm quality inside the semen thats ejected outside of the female body can not cause pregnancy. Thre are instances where if the semen has been in contact with the private part of the female it can survive and cause risk of pregnancy BUT really it needs to be physically ejected inside the female reproductive tract or surrounding exterior area in order to cause pregnancy!

Open air, pH, temperature changes all have adverse effects on sperm quality within the semen and sperm quality depends on genetics and diet and disease of the male, also.

The only place for sperm to function at its best is within the female reproductive tract.

Dare I say it but what your worrying aboutis quite irrational and impossible.

Try not to worry or have a chat with your doctor about this
