Bumping up again as I've noticed a few posts about mindfulness. You could try books and or youtube clips but the best way is this course or if you prefer to find a place near you to do it.
I'm currently using Headspace. Its a cool website and mobile app of guided mindfulness meditations, either 10 or 15 minutes per day. There are some good animations and explanations of how to observe thoughts without attaching unhelpful emotion to them, blue sky thinking.
I'd definitely recommend downloading the free app and giving it a try.
