I have recently started CBT therapy. I am finding it starting to work I only have to more sessions. I just hope it helps me in the long run. How many sessions does it normally take?

Where we live they allow you 12 sessions, and i guess everyone is different but it took about 6 for my son to notice a difference.
The CBT Therapist he saw was very good and rather than weekly, after the first 6 sessions, she then spaced it out a little more (2 weekly then monthly) for the remaining 6. This way it enabled him to get more used to the idea that he was coming to the end of his course. Even when it ended she said he could always be re-referred if he needed to.
