Help just started sertraline !

Hiya everyone I've been on citalopram for 6 months and I didn't really think they were helping reduce my panic attacks so my doc has gave sertraline 50 mg I'm on day two , have they helped anybody else with panic attacks ? From what the doc said they were aimed more at anxiety and panic rather than depression ? Any info or successes with them would really help ? I'm also doing Cbt which has helped me be able to do little things that I wouldn't have done before but I still have panic attacks quite often doing day to day things but doing anything alone is a real struggle x

i've been prescribed sertraline for about five - six years,steadily increasing
up to 200mgs for the last 3-4,before i started on them i was tried on a
number of other antidepressants which made me feel horrible,i don't
experience any bad effects from the sertraline really,but if i miss a
few days,this has only happened once or twice i felt hopeless and was
tearful..otherwise i think they are pretty good serotonin releasers,ie
they improve your mood..if the doc says they are for anxiety then he
is proba ly right,he would know more than i do

Im on day 31. I have been writing a diary giving up to date sensations side effects and sucesses which may or may not help you. Deff reduces panic. I had a mild panic attack in the first week but nothing since. Hope this helps
