Sertraline - I think I'm high

Just started on sertraline 3 days ago. Doc said it would take 1 week or so to take effect but I am buzzing. It feels like I've taken ecstasy, I had to buy chewing gum cos I think I'm gurning too. I'm not complaining as it's quite enjoyable and makes me want to go out and do things.

I didn't read any forums before I started taking them and the doctor never mentioned it, I've only joined because of this dramatic effect so I can't think im imagining it.

Anyone else had this effect. Will it wear off? I hope not I could get used to buzzing all day every day

Haha, I had a similar effect a few days after I started taking citalopram for the first time last summer . It's fun while it lasts, but it does wear off after a few days and then your mood will be more stable.

I also had this when I started Venlafaxine and I rather enjoyed it too but yes, it does wear off so enjoy it while it lasts!!

I had the same feeling, enjoyed it lol but it stopped after a few weeks.
