st johns wort and the pill

Hi guys , i have heard that st johns wort interfears with the pill. Does anyone know if this is true?

I'm 99.9% sure that I've read somewhere that St. John's Wort makes the pill less, or even non-effective. I remember, because I instantly looked through the ingredients lists on the natural remedies I was taking

While we're on the subject, does anyone know if taking vitamin B supplements has any effect on the pill? I have enough anxiety without worrying about getting pregnant too! lol

It does have an interation .

They both get absorbed through the same channels in the body and thus potentailly knock each others effectiveness out .

I had a continual bleed for 6 weeks before I figured out what was wrong.

Don't risk it .

Vit B is totally safe.
