SABRE TOOTHED TIGERS AND A RELAXED ANUS

Just wanna vent my spleen for a mo if you don't mind.....

Waited nearly five months for an Anxiety Management Class and feel pretty disappointed, not to mention patronised. The Occ Health woman explained very slowly and deliberately all about how once, long ago, we might have been faced by a Sabre toothed tiger and how, in response to danger, we would have released adrenalin, evacuated our bowels to make ourselves lighter, and either fought or ran for it. All very interesting, but all very basic - there wasn't one of us in the class who hadn't already learned this. Don't know if I'll go again coz I might not be able to keep a straight face.

But, if I every find a Tiger in an aisle in Tesco's and I crap myself as I run, at least I'll know it's down a relaxed anus and that I haven't become incontinent (lol).

Kay (oh well, back to the drawing board .....)

    Kay

She was going back to the very basics and I bet some people there didn't know about the fight or flight response.

Stick with it - it could get better and you may learn some stuff you didn't know.

Your post did make me laugh though about Tesco's.

People will forget what you said
People will forget what you did
But people will never forget how you made them feel

    Oh Kay,

I am crying with laughter lol I now see the aisle's in Tescos in a whole different light

Please go back and keep us updated my councillor also told me all about fight or flight. I had read about it before so we moved on and I found her help invaluable.

You have made my evening with this post still laughing

    Thank you

    Mel xx

LOL Kay !! made me laugh too !!

I think you also should go again to the Anxiety Management Class.I have done a couple of the courses and they seemed to benefit, not only that ,i enjoyed been with people that understood my illness and we could share our knowledge of anxiety with one another, it was also nice to make new friends.

Still laughing here about the Tiger !!!

    Love
