    Unhappy Still really worried :(

I'm still really anxious about my mole on my back two doctors have looked at it and said it looks fine! The last doctor I seen said she is going to refer me to a community dermatologist to ease my mind this could take months she said I don't fit the criteria for a quick referral (2 weeks) because she doesn't think it looks cancerous! I personally think it has grew think this happened while I was pregnant with my son he is now 5 months old. The mole is all one colour but has a red outline around it! I'm terrified it could be skin cancer I have two young kids and leaving them behind makes me feel soo upset :(( I can't get it out of my mind xx

In the day I put on a brave face an act normal it's when I go to the bathroom I always check it or at night when I have time to think I'm good at hiding stuff away during the day for that reason. Xx

Unless you pay for a quicker appt privately , you have no choice but to wait to see dermatologist .. So no sense in worrying every day as you can't do anything else right now...if 2 docs say they not worried , then that would be good enough for me..
I have lots of little raised skin bumps,moles..

I know this probably wont make you feel any better, but there is a certain criteria they look for when assessing a mole. Usually the symmetry of it, if it's uneven or a strange shape (not round and even)

I got referred not so long back and had two moles off, still not had the results, been about 3 weeks, I am hoping that no news is good news.

The dermatologist was brilliant, the lump that I was worried about she right of the bat said that is nothing to worry about at all, but she spotted another mole that was a strange shape. (just my luck)

Anyway, much the same as yourself with other health issues (or anxiety if that's what it is) I am scared of leaving my kids behind, it magnifies everything 1000 times +

It probably wont take months to get to see the specialist. I hope it all works out for you, try and stay positive, if the doctor isn't worried that is a good sign. (much easier said than done)

Mine is round and uniform in colour except for the red outline I just don't like the look of it because it looks bigger hopes won't take to long then to be seen I would rather it be taking of and go from there instead of me looking and analysing it everyday good luck with your results have you rang them to see how long my sister got to if she had no phone ca in the two weeks then the mole was fine xxx

Skin cancer is not terminal - I know someone who has it and had the moles cut out

2 doctors would not be wrong so I would trust in them

No I haven't rang, I am kind of taking some kind of comfort from no news is good news right now. Sounds weird I guess, but it's how my brain is working. It is actually the least worrying of my problems (in my head or not I don't know)

As mentioned above, Skin cancer doesn't have to be a death sentence.
