increasing sertraline dosage help

I was on sertraline 50mg for two months. At the beginning I felt sick in the mornings but this soon went. I have increased this to 100mg three days ago and I feel terrible. It is like the room is swaying and I keep feeling like I am going to faint. I really don't know if this is normal and whether I should continue taking them. Has anyone else experienced this?

sorry you're not feeling very good. I have increased recently myself. I had some dizzyness and a lot of pins and needles.

Hi, I'm actually feeling a bit better. This is the fourth day since I have increased to 100mg and I have felt less dizzy and unbalanced today. It still freaks me out when I feel dizzy, but the more it happens the more I get used to it. I feel a bit tired as I woke up a few times during the night but that is quite normal for me at the moment. Are you still getting any side effects from increasing or have they stopped now? x

I'm only on 25mg, and also get dizzy. Hope it passes soon! Am glad you're feeling better.

Sorry I pressed enter on the above post and it won't let me edit! I was going to say that the dizziness is really bad today and it is getting me down. I am on day 5 now but am seriously considering going back to the 50mg or at least cutting off as bit of the tablet so I can take around 75mg as that would be less of an increase. I hope your dizziness goes soon too

Sounds like a good plan - to cut back a little. Take your time with increases. When you feel comfy enough to go up, then do so...
