Does anyone know if it's ok to have a general anesthetic whilst on citalopram? I am hoping to have this if i have one of my teeth removed.

There are many anesthetics with different interactions, so you should tell your doc/dentist and make sure that they study the warnings beforehand and use the right stuff. My guess is that local anesthetic like novocaine should be fine... but do ask!
Here is the warning list...

"Tous les jours à tous points de vue je vais de mieux en mieux" (Every day, in every way, I am getting better and better) - Émile Coué
"If you are going through hell, keep going." - Winston Churchill
"When it is dark enough, you can see the stars." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
I had a GA in May & am on escitalopram but was asked at pre-op....good luck
I had a general anaesthetic a couple of years ago when I was taking citalopram. I even had a sedative beforehand. Make sure that your doctors know that you are taking it and the dosage and go from there.
