Getting less heart thudding, but they still always occur when trying to sleep

So lately the thudding sensation in my chest has been occurring less lately (dunno if its heart related). But last night i had it, and it really felt like my heart beating hard for two beats. Didn't hurt or anything but i still get these sensations quite a bit at night for some reason. Is this normal for stuff like this?

I think that sometimes it has to do with the fact that we tend to notice these things more at night when we're in bed.

During the day, our minds are usually occupied with other things so we don't tend to notice what our bodies are doing so much.

Then, of course, if we're laying in bed feeling a bit anxious about anything really, this will often start of palpitations, not because there is anything wrong, but just because we're anxious.

But if you're worried go and have a chat with your doctor about it
