    drowsiness

I have taken Prozac for 17 years, and it suited me very well.
About six weeks ago I stopped taking it.
For about 3 weeks I have been experiencing feelings of drowsiness which I suspect is a result of such an abrupt halt.
I resumed the 20 mg dose 10 days ago but where do I go from here I think I will stay on it but what about this drowsiness?

    Re: drowsiness

I was on fluoxetine for about 15 years and tapered down to being free of it in the Spring. I started to experience some uncomfortable side effects that led me to return to taking the medication. While I had been on 40 mg I found that to be way too much to resume. I then moved down to 20 mg and have been using that for about 12 weeks now. Overtime I would expect the tiredness to dissipate but I would check it out with your doc. Are you going to go back on the fluoxetine or are you using the 10 mg to cushion coming off of it abruptly?
