Colonoscopy tomorrow

As my appointment is after 12pm (12.45pm), I need to start the 5 senna at 2pm, the picolax at 6pm, and moviprep at 7am (to drink over 1-2 hours). I am worried that it will take effect on the way to the hospital or while I am in there. Does the moviprep come out of you within an hour or so. I need to leave at 12pm to get to the hospital so will I be safe to say that I will be "empty". I am also overweight and wondered if the procedure would be more difficult being big? They haven't told me it would but just wondered. Many thanks

The effects are pretty quick. I too was concerned about the journey, but it was OK.

Afterwards, when you start eating again, you will have some minor diarrhoea. But by the time you're teavelling to the hospital you will be empty.

I have never heard of weight being an issue. I can't see it causing any issues.

You will be empty. My daughter wore a sanitary pad to be extra sure but she was fine.
