Hi Folks,

I joined to gain insight to HA and learn possible ways to help others. Having faced my demise several times in the last 6 years (2 heart attacks, coronary bypass, stents and most recently H&N cancer), you would think I would have some anxiety but that's not the case. Yes, I get the pre-scan jitters but that's pretty normal. Otherwise, I'm good with what will be will be. Then again, should I go down the path of HA, depression or any other mental health issue, recognizing the symptoms will be beneficial in helping myself.

I participate on a couple of cancer forums and there is an awful lot of folks who IMO, suffer from HA. It just seems no matter what we as survivors, patients and caregivers say and re-assure, or how much their doctors and tests tell them nothing is wrong, they still insist they're ill and the doctors don't know what they're talking about.

Any insight/advice is welcome. Best wishes, positive thoughts and prayers to those who are afflicted with this malady.
