High blood pressure with panic

Hello everyone, Just want to know if anyone else when they have an panic attack our when their anxiety is at their worse does your blood pressure go up. Mine does and it scares me to death. I'm afraid that I'm going to have an heart attack.
I am on blood pressure meds but my pressure still goes up when my anxiety kicks in.
Also does anyone have breathing issues. I feel like I have to make myself breath. I fell like I'm going mad. How do some of you deal with it??
I feel like I'm the only one and that I'm going to go crazy. I have been to the doctors and everything is fine. They have put me on Lexapro.

I think you will find that most peoples BP rises during a panic attack....I am also on meds to control high BP so I know that generally it's at a normal level because the medication controls it. The breathing is just you hyperventilating and something you need to learn to control. You can do this by taking slow deep breaths from your tummy (so that when you breath you can feel your tummy going in and out).

It is highly unlikely that you will have a heart attack, pass out or go mad

Thank you for the Response, I do try to control my breathing but at times it is so frustrating. Thank you
