Getting the best out of therapy

Sometime in the next two weeks I will start to see a therapist. I have had one session which was just to set the general scene as it were and that was not easy.

Does anyone have any advice on how to get the best out of a limited time with a therapist?

    thanks

It is really helpful if you make a list of everything that is bothering you at the moment before going in, and try to prioritise it - so from most severe to least. It helps make sure you ask everything you need to, and it helps the therapist know what the general scope is and what future sessions should be focused on
