'Strictly Come Dancing' ... Like it or loath it?

So.... It all starts again tomorrow. I'm not sure that I can endure a whole series yet againm, but every time I get sucked in and then find it is compelling viewing. I think it's coz I like to see people "going in a journey"......

I have to say I have never watched it. I used to do ballroom dancing though in my younger days

With me, it's one of those strange programs that I don't plan to watch, but if I start watching it, I end up hooked!! Then when I'm hooked, I get annoyed that I'm hooked!!!!

Annie I've never been able to ballroom dance, I have great big plates of meat......feet........and they're clumsy with it

I did used to go Salsa dancing though, I loved it, but it didn't half kill my hips.......as it's really got lots do do with hip movement

I used to pour scorn on anyone who watched it. I was strictly an X Factor girl ( think I was trying to hang on to my youth!). However, as I approached and turned 50 I suddenly turned! Now I love it and wouldn't give X factor a second glance. Is it an age thing?!

oh, no maybe it IS an age thing.... coz I just turned 50!!! must admit though, like you moosie, I get annoyed about when I am hooked. usually happens later in the series. trouble is they always put at least one person in that I like.... then I've had it.

Yep!! I think it is an age thing

I used to love X Factor, but went off of that a couple of years ago.

This year I'm going to try and not have the TV on that station at all when Strictly is on........cos I know the effects now..........it's more addictive than flippin Diazepam

HAHAHA! That may explain why I've started watching it in the last few years too! I like the look of the line-up this year.

Anyway thanks for reminding me, cos I had totally forgotten it was on, after planning to watch! I really don't like to be tied to the TV for anything which goes on for longer than 2 weeks, but I shall see how I go... although of course it DOES clash with the Pub Quiz... so... hmm

I love it, and it is completely addictive. I am especially watching Dave Myers one part of the Hairy Bikers. He is already my favourite. EJ
