Has anyone had problems coming off Sertraline?

Hi everyone,
Basically I am a nineteen year old girl and I have been suffering from anxiety and panic attacks since I was 13. At that age my psychiatist put me on Zoloft (sertraline) and everytime I have tried to reduce the medication under 75 or 50 mgs my anxiety has always come back. This summer I tried going on 25 mg and it was horrible: I have never had so much anxiety, panic attacks, horrible feelings .....
I wanted to ask you whether you had a similar story or if you managed to come off medication with out major problems. I hope I manage to come off it

Hiya hun,
I haven't tried to come off it - like you i have reduced from 100mg to 50mg.
I know what you mean that at some point it would be nice to come off it altogether but i think it sounds as if you aren't ready for that just yet.
Try not to worry about it - be patient with yourself- you can always try and come off it again at a later date.

Ive gone from 100mg to nothing cus I was feeling better. I was a wreck. Ive got a phobia bout taking tabs. But then when you come off them you feel so ill that unless they are thrust down your throat you cant be bothered do anything let alone take your tabs. Im still struggling now and I need be prompted. Pse be careful. xxxx
