IBS Sufferers...I'm confused and need advice.

Last week Monday I changed my diet... started having Weetbix and a biscuit called Provita... and I started getting pains on my left abdomen. Saw my GP on Tuesday and mentioned it to him and he said it sounds like IBS. I've been worried since because my tummy makes really bad gurgling sounds and just feels icky. I woke up at 3am with tummy cramps and nausea. Is this part of IBS too?
My hubby doesn't help... and I don't know what to do.

I have always found that psyllium husk helps a lot with my IBS. Sounds revolting but it is just fibre, 2 capsules twice a day before eating. In every health food store.

I have recently given up wheat and dairy products and minimized sugar too. This has made a huge difference. There is a lot of good free from produce available in ordinary supermarkets and online nowadays; it has been far less painful than I imagined.

I gave up wheat and sugar too with great success. I think wheat is a definite trigger for a lot of people. For me it didn't occur straight after I ate and I was even told by a gastro that it wasn't IBS! So it can be tricky to figure it out. And elimination diet is what has been best for me.
