i can vaguely remember xmas being ok at home but as i grew up it got worse. i try hard now to enjoy it as an adult but i am not keen on the amounts of money people waste on it & the amount of gluttony there is. that really bothers me. but i try so hard not to be baaaaahhhh humbug. i don't want a long face & to spoil it for others.

Tessar I agree totally with you. Christmas has turned into some huge money making machine and that is not what it's about!

It also worries me every year of the amount spent on it and the amount of debt that many people end up in afterwards, I was brought up that if you didn't have it, you couldn't have it, as simple as that, and I would never take out credit for Christmas ever!!

I also believe that this is what puts people under so much pressure and stress at that time of year, it's wholly unfair.
