I have an eye condition called Central Serous Chorioretinopathy, which causes disturbances in vision due to fluid leakage around the retina. It is caused mainly by stress. (Big surprise, huh?) The culprit is supposed to be high cortisol levels. Someone else with this problem recommended I try magnolia bark, a natural supplement. It is supposed to reduce cortisol levels and thereby, stress levels.
The reason I'm posting this info here is because, while my eyesight has unfortunately not improved yet, I am feeling MUCH more relaxed since I started taking it a week ago! I have always shyed away from ANY kind of supplements because I am afraid of the side effects, but in this case, the fear of permanent sight impairment was greater.
Just thought I'd pass along some info that might help someone here in the quest to destress....
