    CBT....Did it work 4 you?

    Hello,

I'm starting CBT next week to help with my panic and anxiety attacks which i'm VERY positive about [8D] and i just wondered if anyone has had this kind of therapy?

Has it helped? I know everyone's different and i was curious to see how many people this has helped or not?

I was told by my counsellor that i'm very lucky to have been offered this therapy and i'm so pleased, as i really feel i should have had this years ago.

    Thanks

    Simone.x.

Congratulations on getting the opportunity to go for CBT.

I personally have not been able to get it, but have heard nothing but positive things about it.

Please keep us posted on how it goes for ya won`t you?

    Good Luck dear.

    Hi there

i had CBT last year and I can honestly say it was brilliant.

The only thing I wil say is that I relapsed afterwards because I didnt have the support and so dodnt keep practicing going out and doing all the things they tell you.

Take on board what they say and keep at it....it will work wonders im sure.

    Hi Simone,

I've been having CBT therapy for 6 months now and having tried other methods (hypnotherapy, counselling) before this has worked the best. I suffer from agoraphobia and have done for 12years but I have done more in the last 6months than any time before. It does mean you have to go into situations you find hard and you will feel anxious but the thrill of saying you have achieved something outweighs the fears.

    Good luck!

    Tommy xx
