Hi,
I have posted many times on this site, so I have been quite open about my struggle with anxiety and depression.
I have done CBT, and one to one therapy and have had good and bad spells throughout my life. I am now 60 and retired.
I talk a lot...too much.... With my wife about my anxiety and I am sure I bore her stupid with the subject.
I just wondered if there was enough people, male or female, in the area who would appreciate a regular get together as a support group. I also know that us guys feel especially difficult about taking a step like this.
I am not suggesting a group to endlessly talk about anxiety, but to be free to be open when people are having a tough time.
I know how difficult the first meeting might be as most of us would be nervous about who we might meet, but usually anxiety sufferers are the nicest people.
Not sure where the meetings could be. Open to suggestions about that.
Just wanted to know if there might be enough people to form a support group or if there already is one.
Please send me a private message if you are interested... And I will see if there is enough support to get something organised if required.
Phil
