Worried about this blood test! Anylase.

Doc is sending me for Anylase test which I looked up on google and found out its for Pancreas problems now Im really worried, anyone else had one?

Hi I am not sure why your GP is sending you for this blood test, but I have had amylase and lipase levels checked for my pancreas several times. As far as I know it is a fairly standard blood test and nothing to worry about.

Thanks for replying, its just that Ive had lots of blood tests recently and they have never asked for this one

Did your GP say why they were sending you for this ? , first time I had it done it was amongst a lot of others , liver function, full blood count, thyroid , I had no symptoms relating to pancreas but my GP wanted to run a full set of bloods for me.
