Songs that we know and love and why?

I am who I am. by shirley bassey. The reason is obvious.

We are going make you a star, by David Essex. It was in the charts when me son was born. I used to sing "Wayne going make you a star"

"Cherish" by cool and the gang. It reminds me of when my daughter was born after Id spent weeks previous in hospital.

"Memory" by Elaine Page. Me mums fave song when she died.

Dad was a semi professional tenor and so I really dont know his or my favourite.

Me hubbys fave would be "Let it be by the Beatles"

My favourite Beatle's song is "The long and winding road".
    I like "Run" by SnowPatrol"
I do like classical music too.
I don't listen to music much these days though.
I watched the Elvis program on TV the other night. I enjoyed that.
    Love to you Granny xxxxx

It has to be a song by a band called Mayday Parade,,It was called "If you can't live without me why arn't you dead yet".

Another one i liked was called "He hit me and it felt like a kiss", can't remember who that was by though, both great great songs though. I think there possibly both on you tube.

My obsessed song at the moment is Life on Mars? by David Bowie. Hubby and I not long ago watched Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes.

I'm a massive Savage Garden fan. When I was a kid in the 90's my mum used to play their albums a lot. When I hit my late teens I rediscovered them and it brought back happy childhood memories. Now in my 20's I'm obsessed with Darren Hayes and would pounce on him at any opportunity (and happy receive a restraining order!).

As a novel writer music is a massive inspiration to me, but then again I do love music. I do not stick to one genre, I think I have at least one song from every genre on my iTunes!
