Has any one ever been called back for a second mammogram?

Hello,

I'm really worried because my Mum has been called back for a second mammogram but they haven't said why. They have just sent a leaflet with the letter saying some women are called back but haven't said a reason why. She had the first mammogram on the 1st November and has the second mammogram on the 27th November.
I'm just really scared it's going to be breast cancer :-(

It could just be that it wasn't very clear. If you move it can be blurred and need redoing.

Thank you Annie. My Mum did say they kept telling her to stop breathing out so I'm really hoping it's just because she moved xx

Yes, I have. It was completely normal. My friend was called back recently and hers was fine too. If the image isn't 100% clear it's important that they re-do it. Xx
PS. With my friend, they did an ultrasound too and said it was just thickening, which is perfectly normal.

I did, and they still couldn't figure out what it was so they did a biopsy to be sure. Turns out it was just a dense spot and nothing at all to worry about.

Yes, last week. The not knowing why was horrible but there was nothing wrong except that the left breast "looked different" from the right so they wanted to have another look. Apart from a few cysts there was nothing wrong.

I was called back to go to the hospital. I had something called califications . I have been for a third check up. no treatment needed. go back in 2 years time.
