Got on OK at psychiatrist

Hi

After thinking i was getting somewhere with my anxiety after all these years, my GP and the manager of the day centre i attend thought i needed to be reassessed as my mood was erractic - I felt like saying well so would yours if you lived with anxiety thoughts and symptoms 24/7!

Anyway I spent 2 hours being assessed by a different psychiatrist for him to confirm that I still had GAD but with manic tendencies - and the good news is im getting referred back for group CBT and hopefully with a change to my meds I should be ok. Always the optimist!!

Here's hoping I will finally get on top of this.

today was the start of my extra meds - and yes I did read the leaflet - but quickly laid it to one side and took the first tablet. I stopped myself from googling - so I am pleased with that.

The old me would have sat in all day waiting on some reaction to them - but i took myself off up the library and browsed around and managed into the local chemist to look around for some xmas pressies.

Going to relax now with my book and trust that everything will be ok.
