Week 1 of Sertraline

Here is how it has been

days 1-2 good and calm

day 3 - A bit anxious and irritable but less racing thoughts, 8pm felt calm and focused, felt calm later on

day 4 - Woke up calm, 15:30 took the med and up until 18:51 Im feeling a bit tense 20:17 feeling calm, not such a great feeling

Day 5 - Felt like shit, but I pulled an all nighter so I won't count this day

Day 6 - woke up feeling guilty as I missed college class, took the pill at 14:30 16:30 feel calm 18:00 a bit anxious 18:51 calm feel relaxed through the night

Day 7 - Feel like crap

It'll be fine...

While adjusting there are days that are okay, and days that are not too great. Just take the meds every day at the same time, and be gentle with yourself.

Like I said in the other post - by day 7 when I first started, I felt sooooo yuck - had a major panic attack. But I still stuck to the meds - and they did help...

I am worrying as I have been on them for 2 weeks and still feel in the depths if anxiety and depression!

I used to take these and last time they starting working after about 6 days and I continued to get better.

3 - 6 weeks imho for the tablets to really start having an effect

This is really good to know - I have been on them for over 2 months now and while I feel physically somewhat better, mentally I am still a mess. Of course that generates the added anxiety that they will never work...
