How's Everyone doing on Sertraline - I'm on week 8.

Hiya Everyone,
Just wondering how everyone's getting on with Sertraline.
I'm on week 8 .... 2 weeks on 50mgs 6 weeks on 100mgs.
Doing better - side effects of the meds are tapering off and anxiety isn't quite so bad. Though still have tight chest & pain between shoulder blades especially when eating (I have apt with gastroenterologist in Feb - as Dr thinks it could be reflux / inflamed oesophagus due to anxiety) ironically the reflux / chest pain etc ... got 100 times worse when I started the Sertraline....especially when I went upto 100mgs.....(not sure if it's a coincidence or if Sertraline is playing a part).

Hi I'm on approx 3 weeks I have started a fresh from this month on 50mg sertraline as I kept forgetting to take them, and I am in a state xx

Awh Clare - I was the same when I started taking them ..... I was awful for the 2 weeks I was on 50mgs - then Dr put me upto 100mgs - and I was awful for about 3 or 4 weeks before it started to settle .... hang in there though. You'll get there. Leave your meds somewhere where you'll see them everyday...it's anightmare if you forget to take them for a couple of days - it's like starting again. xxxx

I was the same - I couldn't eat a thing - my daily food intake for weeks was a yogurt, banana & a packet of wotsits .... I lost about 10 lbs and looked as white as a sheet. Was made worse with the mums at the school gate saying "oh look at your colour and the weight you're losing - are you ok ??" (given that I was 100 % sure I was dying of cancer - this sent me running into or phoning my GP nearly every day). I was feeling so scared and awful one night that I was on my knees in ER hysterically crying and begging them to admit me into hospital .... it was hell....the Sertraline just fuelled my anxiety for weeks.....however, it did start to settle .... thank god.
It will for you aswell .... but I know how hard it is ..... xxxx

Wow that sounds just like me can't thank u enuf for replying, I will stick these through a while longer, it is really awful isint it? I keep thinking the same like this cant be anxiety? Feel like in loosing my mind & I look awful aswell so skinny xx

I'm at the end of week one here, I was suppose to be going up to 50mg today but I've woken up super anxious and I dont know why!

Awww that happened to me on Thursday morning & still the same I think it's cos I missed a day I don't know? It's is truley awful xx
