    Amitriptyline Migraine Prevention Dosage

I have been taking 10mg of Amitriptyline since 2009 for migraine prevention, this was working OK and I have not had headaches since November 2012, although the severity and the aura are not as bad as without any medication they are still bothering me. Do you think I should ask the doctor to increase the dosage to 20mg? Hopefully this will eliminate them completely.

    Re: Amitriptyline Migraine Prevention Dosage

I started at 25mg for migraine prevention to 50, to 75, and now 100 mg. It took months to work and it has reduced my migraines. The worst was the exhaustion the following morning but most of that is gone now.
