Solving Java Chat Issues

Java has done its usual thing of updating and then throwing a strop when you try to get into the chat room.

I have spent most of the day fighting with Java until finally coming up with a solution....

So Java WILL update for you soon and you probably will not be able to get into the chat room, here is how to solve it.......



1... Bring up the Control panel on your computer

2... Search for Java in the search bar and then click on to Java when it comes up.



3....Click on to the security Tab and then 'Edit site list'



4..... Type http://www.nomorepanic.co.uk in the box and then click add.




5..... It will then warn you that you shouldn't add NMP but just click continue



6..... Remember to click Apply before you close the window





And that should be it.......simples

grr tried this about 4 times already lol my apply button doesn't come up so I cant click it ?

Nor does mine - it is greyed out but I still managed to add it ok

yay I had to adjust the settings on the scale from high to medium and then back to high and the apply button highlighted and I could click it xx

Great tutorial - I discovered you have to make sure you put 'http:' before typing w.ww or it won't add the site to the list..

Mine is on medium but I don't think it matters clicking on apply as mine worked without it lol

I haven't got edit site list when I open that page on the illustration.

What can I do?

I've just updated Java but still can't get into the chatroom.

Anyone else got this prob?

Ju - click on the start menu icon and type in "configure java" in the search box and see if that comes up with something
