Solving Java Chat Issues

Me and Emmz have had loads of emails and messages on Facebook tonight about chat room and Java. Please remember that as soon as we know about a problem we will post it on this forum so you all know.

Thanks to Emmz for taking a lot of time to give us detailed instructions on how to fix it.

Please remember to check this forum for known problems before inundating us with messages as we had already found a solution and posted about it.

i've installed java but when I try to get into chat it says ' joining the chatroom, please wait' but goes no further anyone got any hints on how to get round that?

Sounds like you are blocking pop-up windows

Not that I'm aware of, and I've made nomorepanic an exception on firefox. I'll have to retry, desperately needed someone to chat to last night. Thanks

When I bring up Java in Control Panel,I click on the Security tab but all it comes up with is Certificates.I'm running windows 7 and the Java update is the latest.Have uninstalled and reinstalled,still won't let me in.

In the search box when you click on the windows icon - bottom left, type "java" and then choose "configure java"

Does that make sense?
