    Great guided meditation on YouTube

Hey guys, there are loads of guided relaxation/meditation videos on YouTube, but I found this one recently and I love it so thought I'd share it:

I've been listening to it most nights this week to help me get to sleep, I just open it on my phone and stick my headphones in!

This kind of deep relaxation is really good for anxious people to practice on a daily basis. It will activate your parasympathetic nervous system, which is the part of your nervous system that will help you to relax and destress. It will counter the effects of the fright or flight mode that anxiety often puts us in.

    Give it a try

I've listened to a few of these before but this one is excellent compared to them.It near enough knocked me out, my body felt numb.

    Thanks for the link.

Thanks, I'll try this. I have used relaxation before but I never took it seriously. I can see with hindsight that proper physical relaxation can make a massive dent in anxiety, it loosens anxiety's hold on your body. We generally think of anxiety as something that exists in the mind. I reckon this is why many people don't show as much improvement: you need to treat the body as well as the mind.
