4 months off the pill and now I'm irregular!

Hi Ladies.

I cam off my pill in sept, and my periods were surprisingly on time every month and always 7 days. However this month I was 10 days late and my period was only 4 days?

I know you can be irregular after the pill, but surely this should be straight away not 4 months down the line? xx

I don't know, I guess the pill can do weird stuff for a while afterwards - especially if you were on it for a while? I've heard some women say they were still feeling vague 'pill withdrawal' type symptoms 6 months later when they'd been on it for a long time. But also, even without the added complication of the pill, sometimes your body just has a blip, especially if you've been particularly stressed or anything... so it might not be the pill, it might just a random hiccup!

I hope so! Its things like this that just make me love been on the pill! Especially as we are trying for a baby, this just makes it more difficult! xx

If you're trying for a baby... are you sure you're not pregnant? I know you said you had a period but you can have some early bleeding in pregnancy. It's probably not that but... worth checking?

I'l do a test when I get home, the thought did cross my mind, but it has been very very heavy! xx
