Lovely cake Annie. I had a go at making a Victoria sponge cake last Sunday.. I made such a mess in the kitchen. I just cannot bake anything without making a mess.
Anyway it turned out fine and was all gone in no time.
I had lot of recipes on floppy disk which could not be transferred to disc. I even took them to the Library, but it could not be done.
Anyway I had a recipe on there. It was a fruit cake. I can remember the recipe was measured in cups an was mixed up in a saucepan then put into the oven.
That was my favourite cake sliced up with a slither of butter on.
I will have a look to see if I can find it on the internet xxx

Annie, I had Lemon Drizzle cake this week, with custard.

My fave cake is Madeira Cake.
