New here...but not to the illnesses

Hi there,

I just wanted to introduce myself to everyone.

I have suffered from depression and anxiety on and off for a few years, but this latest time of it, I am working harder than ever to get back to my bigger, stronger, bright me...but even more so.

I have been on Citalopram for 5 weeks (was on and off, again, over the last few years). I have brief moments of relief, but my thoughts are so overwhelming sometimes, it's hard to believe they will eventually quiet again. My focus...is my relationship I know I'm not alone in this, but that doesn't make it a lot easier. Focusing the sad, uncomfortable feelings and thoughts on that, but not a lot else. it's a pattern that's been for as long as I can remember in relationships and I don't want to come to the same conclusion of the past.

I won't turn this into a novel, but am here to chat if anyone connects with what I've shared so far. Time to go exploring the forum.
