4.5 weeks on paroxetine, it's not working yet :(

I've been 4.5 weeks on paroxetine and I still feel depressed. I'm so afraid the medicine is not working. Please someone reassure me that I will be okay.

You are going to be ok. Paxil didn't work for me until 2 months. Be patient and kind to yourself right now. Rest when you can.

Yep, it did. I ended up having to take it at night because of this.

I'm feeling a little bit better, 5.5 weeks now. My anxious thoughts seems to be almost gone. Hope that lasts... But I'm still very lethargic. I really hope this is the right med for me... Afternoons and evenings are good, mornings are better, but daytime is still a bit gloomy. Another strange thing, I've been feeling very cuddly today... Please encourage me, I need comfort from nice persons

What was the story with fluoxetine Piano? I remember you were on it a year or two ago?

It worked good but I probably stopped too soon. I'm feeling suicidal today :(

Could you make an immediate doctor's appointment or see someone right away if you feel like that?

It doesn't sound like the paroxetine is doing anything positive. Could you not go back on fluoxetine? I myself am still not settled on a med :(

I'm seeing my doc tomorrow. I contacted him today. Apparently he thinks paroxetine is doing something positive. I had suicidal thoughts when I got used to fluoxetine too, it was horrible. Nice to see you again Emphyrio so you're not on fluoxetine anymore either?

A little over six weeks now. Just feeling a little bit better. I'm so frustrated and bored. Please give me some encouragement, I'm so fed up :(
