Worried I have kidney or bladder stones or something worse...

I was in a&e two weeks ago due to having pain when urinating and blood in my urine.
I was on antibiotics for 5 days.
The blood disappeared along with the pain.
Then late last week the pain sort of came back again, not as badly but I could feel it.
I also have an urge to go regularly and not a lot comes out sometimes. The colour is yellow instead of clear...there is no presence of blood this time though.

Does it sound like kidney stones or bladder stones? Or maybe even something worse than that?
I'm worried if I go back to the doctors they will put me on another course of antibiotics and I don't know if I want to again as I had some strange symptoms on the last lot - light headed, shaking legs etc.

I would go back to your Doctor tomorrow, but in the meantime, rest, keep warm, plenty of fluids, and maybe some over the counter pain relief.

Don't forget to tell your doc you had side effects on the antibiotics, maybe they can prescribe different ones.

Does it sound like something to worry about then? I don't feel unwell in myself...I'm supposed to be meeting some friends today and I have work tomorrow so I can't really go you the doctors...I guess I'll have to go on Tuesday when I'm only doing half a day at work...

Probably not, especially if you feel well enough to meet friends. Go and enjoy the lovely weather (well it's lovely where I am) just drink plenty of fluid, not the alcohol kind! Lol

Sounds like a uti, they can be persistent and make you feel awful. Definitely go back to dr and get your urine tested. You will probably need another round of antibiotics. Hope you feel better soon

I suppose it could be but why didn't the other antibiotics help last time?

If it was kidney stones or gallstones you would know as this is pain that's off the scale.

Maybe you still have a UTI and need different antibiotics to clear it or a longer course.

I suppose that could be a possibility.
I'll make an appointment to see my GP on Tuesday and explain what's been happening. I really don't want to go on another course of antibiotics as they make me feel so strange.
